If it speaks IMAP, we can back it up
No provider API, no plugin, no agent on a machine. You give a host, a port and credentials, and istorel connects the way a mail client would, which is why Infomaniak, OVHcloud, Gandi, Zimbra, Dovecot, cPanel hosts and self-hosted servers all work the same way.
Gmail, Google Workspace and iCloud work too, with an app password.
Set it once, forget it
Pick hourly, daily or weekly and istorel runs on its own. Only what changed since the last run is transferred, so a daily backup stays fast even on a mailbox with tens of thousands of messages.
If a run fails, for any reason — server down, password changed — you get an alert. Monitoring is ours to do.
Encrypted in transit, and at rest
Every connection to your mail server runs over TLS. Everything we store is encrypted with AES-256, and the keys are not shared with any third party. Storage sits in France by default; other regions on request.
istorel is operated from France under GDPR, with a data processing agreement available on request.
A backup you can actually read
Backups keep the folder structure of the original mailbox, so you find things where you left them. Search across sender, subject, date and folder, or across several backups of the same mailbox at once.
No archive to download and unpack before you can look inside.
One email, not the whole mailbox
Open a message from any backup, check it is the right one, and download it as a standard .eml file with its attachments intact. Any mail client opens it: no proprietary format, no import tool.
Go back a day or a year
Each run creates a restore point you can browse independently. Keep them for up to twelve months: recent ones stay dense, older ones thin out to monthly, so the history is long without being unreadable.
Each mailbox opens 100 GB of storage, pooled across the account, so a long retention usually costs nothing extra.
Built for people who manage other people's mail
Group mailboxes by client, keep each client’s backups isolated, and see every schedule and failure in one list. Volume is counted across your whole account, so the degressive pricing applies to your book, not one contract at a time.
Invoicing in your own name, one place to check that last night went well.
Files next, on the same schedule
Drive backup over WebDAV and kDrive is in development: same console, same schedules, same encryption, billed as a bundle with the mailbox. Nothing about it is available yet, and we would rather say so than list it as a feature.
